Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, directed ministry officials to facilitate the receipt of citizens’ requests for the largest offering of residential lands for individuals within the “Maskan” program in 20 new cities, totaling 8,521 plots of land, Invest-Gate reports.
El Sherbini explained that reservations are currently being received for this extensive offering, which includes residential lands across medium, distinguished, and most distinguished housing categories.
The land offering encompasses the cities of New West Qena, New Assiut, Sadat, Badr, New Beni Suef, October Gardens, New Thebes, New Minya, New Borg El Arab, New Akhmim, New Sohag, New Qena, New Fayoum, New Nasser, New Aswan, New Mallawi, 10th of Ramadan, 6th of October, Shorouk, and Obour.
El Sherbini noted that, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Ministry of Housing, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), is working to expand the offering of residential lands of various types. This initiative aims to meet the increasing demand for land in new cities, drive development, and fulfill the aspirations of citizens from all segments to build their own homes according to regulations.
In this context, Hassan El-Shorbagy, Vice President of NUCA for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, explained that details regarding the terms of the offering, reservation methods, locations, areas, prices, payment methods, and conditions are available on the “Maskan” website until January 6, 2025. The date and location of the public draw among applicants will be announced at a later date.
