Housing Minister Discusses with Urban Development Fund CEO the Operation of “Fustat Hills Garden” and the Development of Joint Projects

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with Eng. Khaled Sedeik, CEO of the Urban Development Fund, to review the status of jointly implemented projects and explore ways to enhance cooperation in the upcoming phase. The meeting was attended by Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister for Urban Communities, Eng. Ahmed Omran, Deputy Minister for Utilities, and officials from the Ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority, Invest-Gate reports.

Monitoring the Operation of “Fustat Hills Gardens” and Joint Development Projects

The meeting reviewed the latest procedures for operating the “Fustat Hills Gardens” project and monitored the execution status of ongoing works in preparation for the start of operations. This aims to ensure the optimal utilization of the project as one of the major developmental and recreational initiatives that contribute to enhancing the cultural and tourism aspects of the area, as well as improving the quality of services provided to citizens and visitors.

Developing Unplanned Areas and Enhancing Quality of Life

The meeting also addressed the status of several unplanned area development projects, alongside the Fund’s efforts in implementing projects to develop the capitals of governorates and major cities. These initiatives contribute to improving the quality of life and providing adequate housing units for citizens.

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy emphasized that the Ministry of Housing and the Urban Development Fund are key partners in the success of the Fustat Hills Gardens project, highlighting the importance of having a clear vision for operating the project after the completion of construction works to maximize its benefits and preserve the investments made.

The Minister also stressed the Ministry’s commitment to providing all forms of support to the Urban Development Fund, accelerating project implementation, and adhering to the highest quality standards to achieve the state’s urban development objectives, underlining the importance of coordination between the Ministry, its affiliated bodies, and the Fund.

On his part, Eng. Khaled Sedeik presented the execution status of several joint projects and future plans for expanding integrated urban development projects, which contribute to maximizing the use of available assets and providing fully serviced urban communities that meet the needs of different segments of citizens.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to continue joint coordination and to overcome any challenges that may face the projects, ensuring the achievement of sustainable urban development and improving the level of services provided to citizens.
