Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar met with officials from Mountain View to discuss the precautionary measures the company has taken to protect its workers on construction sites amid the coronavirus outbreak, Invest-Gate reports.
El Gazzar stressed that this meeting is part of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to take all necessary measures and precautions to ensure the safety of workers to boost the economic and urban development in Egypt, while maintaining job opportunities provided by the real estate sector, according to a ministerial statement on April 13.
El Gazzar also followed up on the partnership projects Mountain View implements in partnership with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in New Cairo and 6th of October City.
Stretching over 500 acres in east Cairo, iCity is the first joint venture (JV) between NUCA and the Saudi-based Sisban Holding, which own 40% and 60% of the project, respectively, with Mountain View being the master developer.
