Eng. Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a coordination meeting to follow up on the work mechanisms of the “Real Estate Market Regulation Unit” and the “Property Export Unit,” in the presence of officials from the ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority, Invest-Gate reports.
El Sherbini stressed the importance of real estate export and market regulation, calling for tangible action to address the needs of Egyptians abroad and attract foreign investors. He highlighted that this aligns with the state’s efforts to promote Egyptian real estate internationally and boost investment.
He noted that coordination is underway with the Ministry of Communications to implement a unified national ID system for properties. This would support platforms like “Egypt Real Estate” and the “Property Export Platform,” ensuring these initiatives meet their intended objectives.
The minister emphasised the need for a licensing system for real estate marketers—both companies and individuals—based on clear standards, which will fall under the Real Estate Market Regulation Unit’s role in overseeing governance and demand tracking.
He also called for engaging developers in the unit’s structure and set measurable goals for better coordination with the market. For the Property Export Unit, El Sherbini highlighted the need for incentives and multilingual platforms to serve both foreign investors and Egyptians abroad.
