Housing Minister Holds Meeting to Monitor Progress of Fustat Hills Park Implementation in Historic Cairo

Sherif El Sherbini, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, convened an extensive meeting to oversee the progress of the Fustat Hills Park project in Cairo Governorate, Invest-Gate reports.

During the meeting, he presented a video detailing the current status of the project, situated in close proximity to the National Museum of Civilization, Ain El-Sira Lake, the Religious Complex, and Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque.

Spanning approximately 500 feddans, the park is among the largest in the Middle East and occupies a central location in historic Cairo, formerly utilized as a waste disposal site.

Officials from the Ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, the Central Agency for Reconstruction, and the project consultant were present at the meeting.

El Sherbini underscored the project’s significance, emphasizing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s direct involvement and the imperative of adhering to set deadlines for completion.

He advocated for increased workforce and equipment deployment to accelerate progress, endorsing dual shifts, assigning tasks to companies based on their capacities, and reprimanding any instances of negligence.

Additionally, El Sherbini instructed the sequential finalization of project segments, establishment of precise schedules with targeted completion dates, ongoing on-site monitoring, and coordination meetings with contracting heads and teams to swiftly address issues and surmount hurdles.

He emphasized upholding the highest quality standards across all facets of the park’s development.
