Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar held his first meeting on February 13 with top leaders of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) to follow up on  the current fiscal year plan, as well as the development progress at the country’s new cities, Invest-Gate reports.

El Gazzar stressed on the necessity of adhering to the set timetables for the implementation of the social housing projects, as well as facility and service projects, according to a ministerial statement. 

During the meeting, the minister reviewed the plan of offering a number of units at Sakan Misr for middle-class housing and JANNA luxury housing projects, which will be announced through NUCA.  

Al Jazzar appointed the vice chairmen of NUCA to prepare a comprehensive report on the status of all projects implemented and their timetables.
