Housing Minister Inspects Ongoing Projects and Development in Marina Villages

Housing Minister Directs Progress on Upgrades and Maintenance

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, began her tour today by inspecting the ongoing works at the “Marina 8” projects and the New Marina Lakes waterway (Bogaz) project, in addition to the development works underway across Marina. She was accompanied by Dr. Waleed Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities, Eng. Ahmed Omran, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities, officials from the Ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority, as well as the heads of the New Alamein City Authority and the Tourist Villages Authority, Invest-Gate reports.

Monitoring Villa Construction, Utilities, and Infrastructure

Minister Randa El-Menshawy toured the ongoing works at one of the villas within the Marina 8 project, reviewing all construction activities. The project spans 179 feddans and comprises residential buildings, including chalets and villas, totaling 243 buildings with 917 units. She also inspected the status of utilities networks (drinking water, sewage, irrigation, and roads), electricity works, road construction, and site landscaping.

The Minister then visited the New Marina Lakes Bogaz project to monitor the progress of water connection works. She emphasized coordinating with all relevant authorities and intensifying efforts due to the strategic importance of the project, which includes two pumping stations, two pipelines, and an underwater tunnel.

Upgrading Roads, Commercial Areas, and the Main Entrance

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy and her accompanying officials also inspected the development and upgrading works on the main entrance road to Marina 5, covering the first 2 km, as well as the improvements in the commercial market area.

Construction of Bogaz No. 5 and Intensified Efforts to Meet Deadlines

The Minister further reviewed the Bogaz No. 5 project at the Marina Tourist Center, where she received a briefing on the project’s objectives. The project aims to develop the internal lakes and renew their water through the construction of a 220-meter bogaz connecting the sea and the lakes, along with the necessary coastal protection works. This initiative supports the development plans of the Marina Tourist Center.

During her tour, the Minister also followed up on the development and upgrading of roads, landscaping, and lighting. She directed the acceleration of ongoing development works and emphasized the importance of regular maintenance for roads, green spaces, and other completed components.

She also instructed intensifying work, setting schedules for all activities, and ensuring continuous on-site monitoring to complete all tasks within the planned timelines.
