Egypt’s Minister of Housing Assem El-Gazzar issued decisions to crackdown on violations in the northwest coast and New Fashn City, boosting continued efforts to control urbanization, Invest-Gate reports.
The decisions stipulate removing roof constructions and 29 feddans of agricultural/residential buildings in the areas without permits.
The 6th of October City Authority launched campaigns to increase occupancy and enforce laws against violations in accordance with El-Gazzar’s instructions.
Authority Head Adel El-Naggar said campaigns targeted malls and sectors, cleared sidewalks and removed illegal roof rooms and studios.
New Taiba City Authority Head Alaa Abdullah Mustafa said a market area campaign seized occupancy in corridors outside stores, taking legal measures against violators.
Shorouk City Police Department Head Ali Saad led a campaign seizing two transport vehicles at the Third District entrance.
New Damietta City Authority Head Mohamed Khalaf Allah said work was stopped on an illegal floor and equipment/materials were seized for the violation.
The authority will take legal and executive measures to remove all encroachments and preserve the city’s cultural and aesthetic appearance.
