Housing Minister Meets Andalusia Group to Boost Healthcare Projects in New Cities

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, met with officials of “Andalusia Group” to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the implementation and operation of integrated medical projects within new cities, as part of the state’s approach to enhancing the level of healthcare services and achieving quality of life for citizens, in the presence of Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities, and ministry officials, Invest-Gate reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. Randa El-Menshawy affirmed the ministry’s keenness to support investments in the medical sector and to provide the necessary land for establishing advanced healthcare facilities within new cities, in cooperation and coordination with relevant authorities, in a way that contributes to meeting the current and future needs of residents.

She pointed out that the ministry is working according to an integrated vision aimed at providing various essential services, foremost among them healthcare services.

Opportunities for cooperation in medical projects within new cities

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy explained that there are promising opportunities for cooperation with major medical entities to establish hospitals and specialized medical centers in accordance with the latest international standards, which enhances the attractiveness of new cities and achieves sustainable development.

For their part, officials of “Andalusia Group” reviewed the group’s experience in managing and operating hospitals and medical centers, where reference was made to the implementation status of the hospital construction project in 6th of October City, confirming their interest in expanding into new cities and implementing integrated medical projects that provide high-quality healthcare services.

The two sides also discussed a number of proposals related to establishing medical projects in several new cities, as well as implementation mechanisms, in a way that ensures the rapid start of projects and maximizes possible benefits.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to continue coordination and consultation between both parties, and to study available investment opportunities, in preparation for taking the necessary executive steps to implement medical projects that contribute to improving the level of healthcare services provided to citizens.
