Sherif El Sherbini, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, chaired his regular meeting to oversee the progress of implementing the units within the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” across various governorates and new cities, Invest-Gate reports.
These encompass New Obour, New Nasser, New Aswan, New October, Capital Gardens, as well as the regions of Sheikh Khalifa City, Ataka District in Suez Governorate, Tanta Center in Gharbia Governorate, Al-Waqf Center in Qena Governorate, Al-Sabil District, and Al-Arish City in North Sinai Governorate.
In attendance were Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund (SHMFF); Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs; Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA); Elham El-Sergany, Assistant Supervisor of the Minister’s Office; Amr Abdel Hadi, Head of the Construction and Building Sector; NUCA officials; heads of new cities agencies; housing directors in the governorates; and members of the Minister’s technical office.
El Sherbini tasked Ahmed Ismail, Head of the New Obour City Authority, with devising a comprehensive plan to progressively finalize the implementation of the units within the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.” These units are expected to be allocated to those who have reserved them in the tenth announcement for social housing, with a delivery timeline of up to 6 months.
Moreover, the Minister reviewed the technical office’s report on a field visit to the implementation sites in New Aswan City under the presidential initiative.
He also evaluated the progress on assignments issued during his inspection visit to New Aswan City at the end of last September, emphasizing the necessity to boost implementation rates and compile regular progress reports.
Furthermore, El Sherbini examined reports from field visits by technical office members to various governorates and new cities implementing the presidential initiative units.
He emphasized the imperative of upholding the highest quality standards without compromise, conducting thorough oversight at all implementation stages, ensuring efficient management of work sites, and promptly coordinating with governorates and relevant authorities to provide diverse services to the populace.
