Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has chaired a meeting to oversee maintenance operations managed by the Urban Development Company for Maintenance Services in social housing and Dar Misr projects, Invest-Gate reports.
The discussion encompassed ongoing maintenance across new cities and established urban areas. Attendants included ministry officials, representatives from the New Urban Communities Authority, Social Housing Fund, Mortgage Finance Fund, and the Maintenance Services Company.
Moreover, El-Gazzar urged the company officials to devise an ambitious vision to enhance and broaden their scope, not limiting themselves to social and middle-income housing maintenance but expanding to luxury housing, smart areas, and non-residential projects.
Notably, emphasis was placed on standard maintenance for communal areas, green spaces, inter-building distances, and building facades to preserve the urban landscape. The meeting also highlighted these projects’ maintenance plans and income growth strategies.
