Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, is closely following up on the progress of various projects being implemented in the New Assiut City in Upper Egypt, Invest-Gate reports.
He emphasizes the ministry’s commitment to completing the comprehensive development plan in various cities, particularly those aimed at serving the people of Upper Egypt.
During his visit, the Minister of Housing reviewed the progress of several projects being implemented in the new city, including various residential and service projects, facilities, electricity, and the allocation of many investment lands to meet the current and future needs of the city’s residents.
In the same context, Gehan Ahmed Ammar, Head of the New Assiut City Development Authority, clarified that the projects being implemented in the new city aim to improve services provided to citizens, such as housing projects, road development projects, improving electricity and facilities, landscaping, and more.
Ammar also mentioned that more than 50 investment land plots with different activities and areas (residential, commercial, administrative, industrial, etc.) had been allocated, in addition to selling more than 2,700 residential land plots (medium housing, distinguished housing, and most distinguished housing), 16 land plots for industrial warehouses, and more than 150 land plots for cemeteries.
“27 buildings have been completed as part of the presidential initiative “Housing for all Egyptians” for low-income families,” Ammar added.
Also, Ammar clarified that the electricity network extension in the industrial area of the New Assiut City is underway, upgrading a 500 m3 water tank and completing the permanent discharge line connection to the treatment plant.
The Head of the New Assiut City Development Authority emphasized the agency’s commitment to completing the comprehensive development plan in all sectors and promoting the city’s growth and development to meet the needs and comfort of the New Assiut City.
