Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar has recently met with Adel El Ghadban, the Governor of Port Said, to discuss proposals for housing projects aimed at providing housing units for the people of the governorate, Invest-Gate reports.
The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry, the governorate, the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund, the General Authority for Construction and Housing Cooperatives, as well as representatives from Port Said Governorate.
During the meeting, El-Gazzar and El Ghadban reviewed the proposals presented by the representatives of Port Said Governorate for the implementation of housing projects that would cater to the housing needs of the local residents. Various ideas were discussed, and it was agreed to proceed with the implementation of a number of housing units to address the governorate’s requirements.
El-Gazzar highlighted that Port Said Governorate is leading the way among other governorates in terms of benefiting from housing units available for low-income and middle-income individuals as part of the presidential program “Sakan Kol El Masryeen.” This achievement is attributed to the substantial amount of land allocated by the governorate to the Social Housing Fund and Real Estate Finance Support. Furthermore, the Ministry’s entities are actively involved in implementing development projects related to drinking water, sanitation, and other initiatives in Port Said Governorate.
