Housing Minister Reviews Progress of “Housing for All Egyptians” Initiative in New Cities

Housing Minister Sherif El Sherbini reviewed the progress of thousands of residential units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in several new cities, including New Obour, New Suez, New Minya, 15th of May City, and 6th of October City, Invest-Gate reports. The review was based on inspection tours and project reports.

El Sherbini emphasized the importance of delivering housing units to citizens on schedule and making new units available for booking while ensuring that service projects are developed in parallel with residential units. He stressed the need to maintain high-quality construction and finishing standards to accelerate the completion of national projects across Egypt’s new cities.

In this context, Ahmed Ismail Gabr, Head of the New Obour City Authority, conducted an inspection tour of the residential buildings under the initiative. The tour aimed to monitor work progress and assess adherence to timelines and construction quality.

During the visit, Gabr reviewed the units in Districts 15 and 16, comprising 638 buildings with 15,312 residential units. He also examined infrastructure work, including utility networks, roads, and landscaping, such as interlocking pavements and curbstones.

Additionally, Gabr inspected a new primary school and emphasized the urgency of completing the facility, along with sports fields and other essential services. He also stressed the importance of expediting the construction of health centers and other service projects to meet the needs of new residents.
