Eng. Sherif El-Sherbini Minister of Housing, Utilites, and Urban Communities held a meeting on Monday evening to follow up on the implementation of potable water and Sanitary Drainage projects under the “Hayah Karima” presidential initiative in the governorates of Gharbia and Damietta, Invest-Gate reports.
The meeting included officials from the Ministry of Housing, the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage (NOPWSD), and the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater.
Discussions focused on Gharbia’s ongoing projects, including wastewater treatment plants, sewage networks, and force mains, as well as the handover status of completed projects in the governorate.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of projects in Damietta implemented by the NOPWSD, including gravity sewers, force mains, and pumping and treatment stations.
Additionally, the session addressed projects carried out by the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, covering force mains, household connections, and the execution status of water and sewage pumping stations.
El-Sherbini stressed the importance of accelerating the pace of all ongoing works, avoiding delays, and adhering to the scheduled timelines. He also instructed teams to monitor the progress of all active projects on a weekly basis to ensure timely delivery.
