Housing Minister Reviews Progress on the Great Transfiguration Site Development Project

Eng. Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held an extensive meeting with officials from the contracting companies involved in the development of the site of the Great Transfiguration, located in St. Catherine city, Invest-Gate reports.

The meeting was attended by leaders from the ministry, the Central Agency for Reconstruction, and the project consultant.

El Sherbini emphasized that the state places great importance on the project to develop the site of the Great Transfiguration, which is also being closely monitored by Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He noted that the project aims to enhance this unique site, preparing it for visitors from around the world.

The Minister added that the development efforts include protecting and improving the area, ensuring balanced development, and preserving the natural environment and heritage that characterize the region. This approach aims to present the site in a manner befitting its uniqueness on a global scale, maximizing the benefits from its exceptional features, so that this sacred location becomes a global destination for tourists. It is important to honor its spiritual, religious, archaeological, and historical significance as the cradle of the three heavenly religions.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the executive status of each component of the project to develop the site of the Great Transfiguration.

El Sherbini also followed up on the detailed timelines for the various components of the project, directing all parties involved to adhere to the specified schedules for completion and to maintain full coordination to expedite the work.
