Housing Ministry Announces Deadline Extension for Receiving Small Residential Plots

Amin Ghoneim, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, announced a two-month deadline extension from the announcement in daily newspapers for the reception of small residential plots, Invest-Gate reports.

Including Beit Al-Watan, whether they have been allotted or cancelled due to non-receipt. This step aims to facilitate the process for citizens, allowing them to receive their designated plots under specific conditions.

Ghoneim emphasized that granting this extension aligns with the New Urban Communities Authority’s commitment to facilitate procedures for citizens and responds to requests from customers for granting a deadline extension for receiving small residential plots.

This initiative aims to allocate lands at various levels to citizens in new cities, enabling them to build their own homes and facilitate their transition to reside in these cities. This will accelerate their development, create new investment opportunities, generate more job prospects, and drive economic growth.

Moreover, Ghoneim added that the following conditions would apply to the deadline extension: the deadline will begin upon the readiness of the land for reception, the plot should be vacant and not allocated or assigned to others, any ongoing cases filed against the New Urban Communities Authority or the city administration regarding the plot must be waived, any outstanding dues on the land from the date of readiness for reception until the payment date must be settled, and these facilitations will not result in any deferral of instalments.

Furthermore, these provisions will not apply to small residential plots that have already been dealt with at the current prices and have been paid for, nor will they apply to lands under the “Ebny Baytak” program. Additionally, any refunded amounts previously paid for the plot should not have been received.
