Housing Ministry Confirms Completion of Final Phases of 87 Buildings in JANNA Housing Project

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar has announced the ongoing finalization of the “JANNA” project in New Damietta City, consisting of 87 buildings, Invest-Gate reports.

El-Gazzar emphasized the City’s President’s continuous follow-up and quality assurance directives.

In line with these directives, Mohammed Khalefallah, the head of the New Damietta City Authority, accompanied by agency officials and project managers, inspected areas of the deluxe housing project “JANNA” in District Six, particularly focusing on the site of 28 buildings in Neighborhood 34 to oversee the project’s final stages.

Moreover, during the inspection, Mohammed highlighted the near completion of roadworks, pathways, lighting fixtures, and preparations for landscaping and green areas. He stressed the importance of adhering strictly to the project’s specifications and timetable for quality execution.

Furthermore, the delegation proceeded to examine the site of 59 buildings in the JANNA project within Neighborhood 33. Here, they reviewed completed site layout work and internal road planning. Mohammed reiterated the supervisory authority’s responsibility to maintain the completed work and ensure daily irrigation, plant maintenance, and green space monitoring.

Also, Mohammed and agency officials visited the drinking water purification plant, which operates at 172,000 cubic meters per day, serving the city and Damietta Port. They also inspected the intake point from the Nile River feeding into the station.

Notably, during this inspection, Mohammed affirmed the commitment to implement measures enhancing service efficiency within the station and ongoing efforts to upgrade the initial phase and maintain the intake facility. He emphasized the importance of meeting the project timeline to maximize the station’s capacity, catering to the city’s current and future expansions.
