Tshilidzi Ratshitanga, the Strategy and Spatial Transformation Advisor to the Deputy President of South Africa for Planning and Urban Expansion, along with his accompanying delegation, conducted an inspection visit to the New Alamein City to explore opportunities for cooperation and learn about Egypt’s experience in constructing new cities, Invest-Gate reports.
They were received by Wael Samir, the Chairman of the New Alamein City Authority, and officials from the city’s administration.
A documentary film showcasing the commencement of work in the city, its development phases, and the progress of several projects was presented, highlighting its transformation to a major tourist and residential city.
Ratshitanga toured the projects in the city, starting with the Beach Towers area, followed by the bridges, boulevards, heritage city, lakeside promenade, the entertainment area, and several other projects within the city.
At the end of the visit, the members of the South African delegation expressed their gratitude to the officials of the New Alamein City Authority and those responsible for the projects for the warm reception. They also commended the tremendous efforts and the scale of achievements in the projects.
