Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar has revealed that the initial sorting of applications from citizens for the tenth announcement of units provided through the state’s social housing program has been finalized, Invest-Gate reports.
According to El Gazzar, 177,512 applicants fit the pre-disclosed criteria, while 218,193 people have secured housing units for paying a down payment, he said in a ministerial statement on March 31.

Eligible applicants can pay the first batch of the quarterly installments starting from April 1 until June-end, she noted, adding that any delay will result in an additional 1.5% of each late payment.
Meanwhile, ineligible applicants can file complaints starting from April 1 to 30, the CEO confirmed, noting that complaints received from those not meeting the required age or income level will not be accepted.
