The Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities is offering new unsubsidized social housing units targeting citizens with monthly incomes ranging from EGP 4,000 to EGP 5,000, according to Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly, reported Al Borsa.
The units offered have floor plans of 90 square meters and qualified citizens may apply from December 14 until January14. The houses are available through 19 governorates across the country, including Alexandria, Qaliubya, Sharqiya, Menoufiya, Gharbeya, Beheira, Giza, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Minya, Luxor, Aswan, New Valley, Matrouh, and South Sinai.
Interested applicants are to pay EGP 15,000 as a down payment, which amounts to 25% of the total price of the unit, with the remaining amount to be paid over four installments valuing EGP 10,000 each, according to Chairman of the Mortgage Finance Fund Mai Abdel Hamid.
