The deadline for obtaining the terms and conditions booklets to apply for social housing units has been extended to October 13, according to Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly, reported Invest-Gate.
The deadline was extended due to the large number of potential applicants heading to the Housing & Development Bank. The public lottery was declared for 34,841 plots of land for social housing that will be available for citizens who did not obtain a plot in the first phase. These applicants are eligible to apply again and adjust their desires if they wish.
The ministry’s decision of extending the deadline comes after an upsurge in demand, including 5,000 citizens in 10th of Ramadan City, according to Madbouly.
