Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities is planning to offer 57,474 plots in a supplementary draw. The draw is aimed at citizens who applied to the previous 21,398 plots draw and were not allotted land, Invest Gate reported.

The purpose of the draw is to increase the number of offered land to reach a total 78,872 plots. The initiative includes all three types of land, distinctive, premium and social housing. Offered plots will range from 2,209-21,500 square meters in size, and are due to be fully connected to utilities in an 18 month time.

The second bid which is due to be held in July aims at providing land lots to all classes, as well as combating unethical land trade by brokers.

Within the distinctive lands scheme, a number of 2,758 plots were offered, and an additional 6,188 will be available, making the total 8,946 plots, for which18,487 applicants have applied.

Distinctive land is distributed as following:

14 plots were offered in 15th of May City, while 95 will be made available, to reach a total number of 109 plots, for which 109 citizens have applied.

6th of October City where 484 plots were offered and only 76 have applied. Al Shorouk City includes 43 plots for which 49 have applied. 180 plots were offered in Sheikh Zayed City for which 488 have applied.

Obour city where 32 were initially offered, additional 302 plots will be made available, to reach a total of 334 plots for which 334 have applied.

New Cairo where 1,823 plots were initially offered, 7,062 plots will be made available to reach a total of 8,885 plots with 16,736 applicants.

Similarly New Damietta where 182 plots were already offered, 195 will be offered to reach a total of 377 plots for which applicants have reached 695.

Within the privileged lands scheme, 7,564 plots were previously offered while a number of 16,445 will be made available to reach a total of 24,009 plots for which 27,832 have applied.

Premium land is distributed as following:

274 plots were made available in New Akhmim City for which 66 have applied, New Assuit where 502 plots were offered for which only108 have applied.

77 plots were offered in New Aswan where four new ones will be made available to reach a total of 81 plots, for which 81 have applied.

Sadat City where 2,222 plots were initially offered will see the addition of 1,034 plots, to reach a total of 3,256 while applicants for the city have reached 3256.

6th of October City where 315 plots were offered, 5,145 plots will be made available to increase the total to 5,460 while the number of applicants have reached 5,460.

10th of Ramadan where 500 plots were made available, 5,687 will be added to increase the total to 6,187 plots while applicants have amounted to 6,187.

New Fayoum where 96 plots were offered only 41 have applied. Similarly in New Minya 842 plots were offered for which 586 have applied.

New Nubaria where 212 were offered for which 599 have applied. Badr City where 962 plots were offered and 2,654 will be made available to reach a total of 3,616 plots, while applicants for the city have reached 8,055.

New Borg El Arab where 453 plots were offered and 898 will be made available to reach a total of 1,351 to meet the needs of 1,351 applicants.

New Beni Suef included 186 plots and 746 will be made available to increase the total to 932 plots to meet the needs of the 932 applicants.

For New Sohag, 824 plots were initially offered, while 277 are planned be offered to reach 1,101 in total while the number of applicants also amount to 1,101. New Thebes where 99 plots were offered only saw nine applicants.

Finally for the social housing scheme, 11,076 plots were initially offered, 34,841 plots are planned to be added to increase the total to 45,917 pieces of land. Applicants for social housing plots have reached 132,345.

Social housing land is distributed as following:

New Assiut includes 200 plots, in addition to 469 plots that are planned to be offered to reach a total 669 plots. Applicants for the city are 669.

Sadat City where 2,278 plots were made available, 9,415 plots will be added to reach a total of 11,693 plots, for 20,533 citizens have applied.

New Salheya where 211 plots were offered, 382 will be made available to increase the total to 593, for which 5,606 have applied.

10th of Ramadan where 2,070 plots were offered, 17,698 plots will be added to hit a total of 19,768 plots. Applicants for the district have reached 46,314.

Badr City where 2,876 plots were offered, 1,999 plots are planned to be added to increase the total to 4,875 plots for which 23,175 citizens have applied.

New Sohag where 303 plots were offered, will witness an offering of 3,013 plots to increase the total to 3,316, to meet the needs of the 3,316 applicants.

New Qena where 1,138 plots were offered and 1,540 will be made available to reach a total of 2,678 plots of land to meet the needs of the 2,678 applicants.

New Thebes where 138 plots were previously offered, will witness the offering of 325 plots of land, to reach a total of 463 to meet the 463 applicants.
