Officials from the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) inspected progress on a new EGP 530 mn water pumping station and road development projects in Badr City, Invest-Gate reports.

Vice President, Abdul Muttalib Mamdouh, and Assistant Vice President, Kamal Bahgat, were accompanied by the Head of Badr City Development Authority, Ammar Mandour, to review the water station status.

The project is 70% complete and aims to supply water to new areas of the city to meet increasing demand from development and population growth.

The pumping station will have six 520-liter-per-second pumps to regulate water pressure in new districts, along with a transformer building, workshop, and storage.

The officials also looked at road expansion works on Saad Zaaloul Road from Freedom Square to Al-Roubiki Road, as well as upgrades to the Industrial Ring Road from the reservoir to Al-Roubiki Road. The ring road lane width was expanded from 7 meters to 11.5 meters to accommodate current and future traffic volumes.
