Housing, Trade Ministers Discuss Development Proposals for Industrial Zones in New Cities

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar and Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir have recently held a meeting to discuss proposals for the development of industrial zones in new cities, Invest-Gate reports.

The meeting involved officials from the Ministry of Housing, the New Urban Communities Authority, the General Authority for Industrial Development, and the President of the 6th of October City Investors Association.

During the meeting, El-Gazzar emphasized the importance of preparing plans to develop industrial zones in new cities.

He stressed the need for collaboration between the Ministry of Housing, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority and city agencies, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, represented by the General Authority for Industrial Development, the boards of trustees, the investors’ associations in the new cities, and all investors in the industrial zones. The goal is to establish specific rules and standard patterns to enhance the efficiency and development of these industrial zones.

El-Gazzar highlighted the existence of numerous ideas and proposals that can be implemented in industrial zones within new cities. These ideas aim to generate stable and self-sustaining returns that can be reinvested in the development of these areas.

He instructed the officials of the New Urban Communities Authority to identify available land plots within the inter-spaces of the industrial zones. These plots will be offered for the execution of service projects that can generate stable financial returns, with priority given to investors already present in the industrial zone.
