Hungarian Parliament president, Entourage delegation Visit Egypt’s NAC

Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and CEO of Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), hosted Mr. Laszlo Köver, president of the National Assembly of Hungary, and his wife, H.E. Ambassador Rita Harensar, Hungarian Ambassador in Cairo, and an entourage, Invest-Gate reports.
The visit took place at the company’s headquarters in the New Capital. The visit is a component of Mr. Köver’s official trip to the Egyptian House of Representatives, and is a component of strengthening cooperation and the sharing of experience in urban planning and development.

The visit began at the company’s headquarters, where Eng. Khaled Abbas greeted the delegation cordially, referring to the profundity of the relations between Hungary and the Arab Republic of Egypt. He pointed out the importance of such visits in emphasizing the real progress that Egypt is making in unprecedented urban development.

During the session, Eng. Abbas gave a presentation about the New Capital project as a documentary film highlighting its major landmarks, future plans, and visionary methodology. This great national project is a giant leap in Egypt’s vision towards modern urban development.

For his delegation, Mr. Laszlo Köver reaffirmed his profound admiration for the developed urban and civilian advancement he witnessed in the New Administrative Capital. He further added that while he had visited numerous newly established capitals across the globe, what he saw in Egypt was an outstanding and unique model that reflects the significant developments the Egyptian state is making in this vital sector.

The delegation participated in an extensive field tour of key locations of the New Capital, such as the Government District, the Nativity of Christ Cathedral, and the City of Arts and Culture, after the meeting. The delegation was impressed with the scale of accomplishment and speed of implementation.

This visit forms part of the emerging Egyptian-Hungarian relations and follows in response to the Hungarian side’s keen interest in learning about the New Capital and Egypt’s success stories in various sectors, particularly sustainable urbanization.
