Hyde Park Developments, one of Egypt’s leading real estate developers, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Raie Misr Foundation for Development, a leading charitable and development organization, to support sustainable development initiatives in the fields of healthcare, education, and economic empowerment. The agreement reflects Hyde Park Developments’ conviction that the private sector plays a vital role in advancing sustainable development, with corporate social responsibility serving as a central pillar of its strategy, Invest-Gate reports.
The cooperation focuses on several key areas. In healthcare, Hyde Park Developments will organize free medical convoys in internal medicine and ophthalmology, targeting the most underserved communities across Egypt and providing early disease detection and essential healthcare services. The agreement also includes education and vocational training programs aimed at equipping youth with skills aligned with labor market needs. In addition, the partnership will support the economic empowerment of women and youth by assisting 20 individuals for six months in launching small income-generating projects to improve living standards and promote financial independence.
Commenting on the agreement, Hala Abdel Wadood, Chief Corporate Communication Officer at Hyde Park Developments, said: “The value of community initiatives is not measured by the size of funding or the number of projects, but by their real impact on individuals’ lives and society. Investing in human health and education is the most effective path to creating sustainable change that benefits future generations.” She stressed the company’s commitment to building strategic partnerships with institutions that have a clear humanitarian vision to ensure the delivery of high-quality, integrated support with tangible, long-term results.
Abdel Wadood added that the responsibility of real estate developers extends beyond constructing buildings and infrastructure to building sustainable communities that enhance quality of life and enable individuals to realize their full potential. She noted that Hyde Park Developments believes true development is achieved through sustained investment in people via education, healthcare, and social programs, while linking real estate projects to surrounding communities to ensure lasting and measurable impact.
For her part, Nermin Fouad, Executive Director of Raie Misr Foundation for Development, said: “The foundation organizes this charitable event as part of its ongoing efforts to support the most vulnerable families across various governorates, particularly in light of the challenging living conditions many households face. Strengthening social and humanitarian responsibility among individuals and institutions toward those in need is a fundamental pillar of societal stability, through supporting social solidarity systems that ensure a decent life for citizens.”
Fouad noted that the foundation has provided medical examinations to more than two million citizens through medical convoys reaching the most underserved villages nationwide, in addition to performing surgeries for critical cases. She added that the foundation has implemented projects to rebuild, renovate, and furnish homes to provide safe and dignified housing for vulnerable families, alongside a strong focus on economic empowerment through vocational and skills-based training and small enterprise initiatives. She emphasized the importance of expanding partnerships with organizations that share the same vision in support of sustainable development goals and a more cohesive society.
Hyde Park Developments’ corporate social responsibility journey spans several years, with the company placing social responsibility at the heart of its strategy and adopting innovative practices aimed at creating long-term positive impact on society and the environment. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the company further strengthened its initiatives to support the national healthcare system and frontline workers, in cooperation with the medical sector and civil society organizations, to deliver sustainable health and education services with tangible societal impact.
