Hyde Park Developments has announced its official sponsorship of the 2025 Junior Squash World Championship (U-19 individual and team events), marking the tournament’s return to Egypt after more than two decades, Invest-Gate reports.
The championship will be held at Black Ball Sporting Club in New Cairo from July 21 to August 1, under the joint organization of the Egyptian and International Squash Federations.
The sponsorship aligns with Hyde Park’s strategic vision to support sports and youth empowerment in Egypt, driven by its belief in investing in human capital as a foundation for sustainable development.
The launch event was attended by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, underscoring the tournament’s global standing and Egypt’s growing support for niche sports—especially as squash has now been officially included in the upcoming Los Angeles Olympics.
Hala Abdel Wadood, Chief Corporate Communication Officer at Hyde Park Developments, described the medal ceremony for Egypt’s national team as a proud moment for the company. “These young champions reflect the ambition of a promising generation that deserves full support. Our sponsorship of the Junior World Championship reaffirms our commitment to empowering youth and supporting key societal sectors—especially sports—as a cornerstone for nation-building.”
Eng. Ahmed El Abd, Chairman of Black Ball Sporting Club, praised the return of the championship to Egypt for the first time in 28 years, highlighting the participation of players from 38 countries. “Hyde Park’s sponsorship exemplifies meaningful support, rooted in a genuine belief in the power of sport to drive community development and youth empowerment,” he said.
This sponsorship follows Hyde Park’s recent backing of the Smash Padel Tour, one of Egypt’s largest padel tournaments, which featured over 300 players. These efforts reflect the company’s broader commitment to national economic growth and sustainable community development through investment in youth, sports, and culture.
