Hyde Park Developments, one of Egypt’s leading real estate developers, has announced its sponsorship of the annual Enactus Egypt National Competition, in a step that reflects its deep-rooted commitment to empowering youth and fostering social-impact entrepreneurship, Invest-Gate reports.
This sponsorship aligns with Hyde Park’s broader vision to invest in young talents, who are considered key drivers of development and a cornerstone in building a more sustainable future.
The Enactus competition aims to empower young entrepreneurs by enabling them to develop innovative solutions for their projects and encouraging them to continue delivering creative ideas with economic and social impact, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Hyde Park Developments actively participated in the competition as a member of the judging panel, playing a key role in evaluating the entrepreneurial projects presented by student teams from various Egyptian universities.
The first-place winner was Misr University for Science and Technology, whose project focuses on building a more sustainable future by transforming arid lands into fertile soil through sustainable practices and smart technologies. The project aims to restore degraded soil and support local communities. The team will go on to represent Egypt in the upcoming Enactus World Cup, to be held in Thailand this September.
The second place was awarded to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, for a project that leverages the moringa plant to address food waste, water pollution, and low livestock productivity. Meanwhile, Beni Suef University secured third place with a project centered on transforming the invasive Nile plant into innovative solutions that contribute to environmental protection, sustainability, and ecosystem restoration.
