Hyde Park to Host Cirque du Soleil for 1st Time in Egypt

Hyde Park Developments announced hosting the latest entertainment show for Cirque du Soleil, BAZZAR, for the first time in Egypt this September, Invest-Gate reports.

Brought by Alchemy Project and presented by Etisalat Misr, the world-renowned Canadian group’s show will take place at Hyde Park New Cairo from September 19 till October 6, according to a recent press release.

BAZAAR, described as a “breathtaking, colorful homage to Cirque du Soleil’s legacy,” will feature signature Cirque style, an artistic combination of creative entertainment, where the culture meets the musical and dancing shows taking audiences to a whole new world full of fantasy, colors, and life, combining street and circus performances.

Being one of the finest entertainments in the world, the show will be able to bring families together through the magic of wild acrobatics, quirky clowns, and mind-boggling illusions, the statement noted.

Commenting on the move, CEO of Hyde Park Developments Amin Serag stated, “We are thrilled with our partnership with Alchemy Project, as we are always keen on presenting remarkable and new experiences to our communities. Choosing Hyde Park New Cairo to host the legendary show comes in line with our strategy that works on positioning our leading project as one of the top family preferred destinations.”

“Hosting this international event in Hyde Park New Cairo takes the entertainment world in Egypt to a whole new level that creates a state of enthusiasm … Hosting this event gives a great indication of the security and stability of Egypt, offering a unique experience for the Egyptian audience and tourists,” Serag added.

For his part, CEO of Alchemy Project Mac S.Far said, “The show will present the best of Cirque du Soleil’s DNA and takes the audience back to the elements that make Cirque du Soleil shows famous worldwide for more than 30 years. As Alchemy Project, we would be touring the show across six countries, two continents, organizing over 100 shows within over 210 touring.”

On his behalf, Etisalat Misr CCO Ahmed Yehia said, “We, at Etisalat Misr, are delighted to introduce this great event to our customers … Egyptians appreciate creativity, arts, and innovation. We believe that Cirque du Soleil – who are performing for the first time ever in Egypt – will present entertainment and amusement to our customers.”

Founded by two former street performers in 1984, Cirque du Soleil’s number of employees reached nearly 4,000 in 2019, including 1,400 artists from 60 different counties.
