The International Desalination Association (IDA) awards Metito Best Public Private Partnership (PPP) accolade for the Kigali Bulk Water Supply Project in Rwanda, Invest-Gate reports.
The PPP project between the Government of Rwanda and Kigali Water Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Metito, improves water access and service quality in Kigali and the neighboring city, Bugasera.
The project includes the development, design, financing, construction, and operation of a bulk water facility with a capacity of 40,000 cubic meters per day.
The project covers 40% of Kigali’s water needs.
Fady Juez, Metito Managing Director, says: “Metito has been pioneering the PPP model across key markets in the Middle East, Africa, and most recently Central Europe.”
Moreover, the IDA World Congress appoints Juez as the IDA President for the 2022-2024 term.
