“For many people in Egypt, building a home is one of the key factors to building their life, so our commitment with the new store is to make that an enjoyable experience for all and to be more accessible in the significant area of 6th of October,” Jayan elaborated, noting, “The opening of the new store is another key milestone on our journey in Egypt and we look forward to the grand opening of this store by 2020.”
Covering 1,200 square meters, the mini department store offers a pleasant and convenient shopping experience to west Cairo residents, while featuring a variety of home furnishing products, smart solutions, as well as, a planning area and a small-scale coffee shop.
The new outlet attempts to enhance the presence of IKEA Egypt, Al-Futtaim Misr for Retail’s franchise of the Swedish company, in the Egyptian retail market and further expand the furniture brand’s reach in the western edge of the city. It will temporarily suffice the needs of shoppers residing in 6th of October City, Sheikh Zayed, and other neighboring areas until the main chain-store kicks off next year.
Meanwhile, embodying the concept of “fresh start,” the retail giant officially introduced its long-awaited IKEA 2020 Catalog last week, displaying a diverse range of innovative products of various colors and designs.
