Abu Dhabi-based Imkan has joined forces with Nael and Bin Harmal Hydroexport Establishment (NBHH) to begin construction work for the first phase of AlJurf on Sahel Al Emarat in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Invest-Gate reports.
During the signing ceremony, which took place in AlJurf, CEO of Imkan Walid El-Hindi and Managing Director of NBHH Tony Saliba marked the official breaking of ground on-site by crossing the first shovel strokes together, according to a press release on September 24.
NBHH has begun the construction enabling works for the project’s phase I, AlJurf Gardens, which is scheduled for completion in 2021, comprising 293 residential villas and land plots, the statement highlighted.
The project will boast several facilities and amenities, including unique residential communities and serviced residences, a world-renowned wellness clinic and resort, a private beach, a private marina, and a community center, all situated amid abundant and verdant open spaces.
Nestled within existing nature and located in Ghantoot, the fully-integrated community is “the antithesis of the fast-paced lifestyle that comes with living in the UAE’s major metropolises.”
El-Hindi commented, “Breaking ground at our second-home coastal destination, AlJurf, was another major milestone in a successful year for us. Appointing an established name like NBHH as enabling contractor falls in line with our commitment to collaborate with like-minded partners.”
He added, “AlJurf Gardens is the first phase of the entire community and a true reflection of the promise we make to create places that specifically suit the lifestyles of both our residents and visitors.”
On his part, NBHH Managing Director Tony Saliba, “Working with a company like IMKAN who approach real estate from such a unique angle presented us with a new experience and a welcomed challenge. Our established expertise, industry knowledge and experience combined with IMKAN’s research-based approach to placemaking will ensure that this beautiful stretch of coastline has the most solid of foundations.”
Sales for AlJurf launched in February and the place-maker continues on a constant trajectory; launching projects in the capital and abroad.
With this year standing as Imkan’s “Year of Delivery,” five projects will soon be ready for handover – three are located in the capital; Sheikha Fatima Park – an open-air green space and hub for leisure and wellness; Nudra – a luxury beachfront community of 37 villas, located in Saadiyat Cultural District and Thanaya, a lively a residential building in Khalidiya.
