Imkan Completes Concrete Substructures of 7-Tower Pixel

Abu Dhabi-based developer Imkan announced the completion of the concrete substructure for its seven Pixel Towers on Reem Island in the UAE, with three towers launched to date, Invest-Gate reports

The simultaneous construction of its seen-tower community represents “its promise of providing only the very best living environments for its customers,” the company said in a press release on March 9.

The development is taking shape at Imkan’s Makers District, which is the UAE’s newest mixed-use hub that is likely to attract creatives, entrepreneurs, innovators, and those with a strong sense of individualism, the statement highlighted.

“Pixel has been designed as a first-choice destination amid a vibrant neighborhood – home to a community of entrepreneurs and those with a millennial mindset. At IMKAN, we are committed to ensuring that as soon as our residents’ keys turn in their doors, they have everything they need – both in their homes and in their outside community. We are delighted with the progress being made with Pixel and with this important construction milestone,” said Walid El Hindi, CEO of Imkan Properties.

Upon completion, the Pixel development will be home to 525 contemporary apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom options. Besides, the project will feature 94 boutique office units and 14 retail outlets, with the entire seven-tower community designed in partnership with the award-winning Dutch architectural firm, MVRDV.

Pixel is the first phase of Makers District, which is slated for completion in 2021. The masterplan also includes a boutique hotel, further residential options totaling 3,700 units, food and beverage (F&B) outlets, and co-working spaces.
