In a Meeting with the CEO of Qatari Diar: Prime Minister Reviews Progress of the Alam El-Rum Development Project on the North Coast

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting to review the latest developments of the Alam El-Rum development project on the North Coast. The meeting was attended by Eng. Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities; H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al Thani, CEO of Qatari Diar; Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities; Eng. Khaled Sedik, Assistant Minister of Housing; Eng. Mostafa Abdel Wahab, CEO of the General Authority for Tourism Development; and officials from Qatari Diar, Invest-Gate reports.

Importance of the Project

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of this project, which represents a major investment partnership between Egypt and Qatari Diar. The project aims to establish a new development destination on the North Coast, featuring a variety of projects, in line with the state’s plans to make the best use of coastal lands by creating well-planned tourism and urban communities that operate all year round.

Project Master Plan and Components

During the meeting, the proposed master plans, the implementation status of the different works, and the project’s components were reviewed, including educational, healthcare, residential, hotel, and commercial facilities, as well as entertainment areas and various services.

Qatari Diar’s Vision

For his part, Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al Thani praised the development taking place on Egypt’s North Coast, confirming that the company aims to deliver the project at the highest level through partnerships with leading international companies. He pointed out that the project is based on creating a world-class integrated urban city that operates throughout the year rather than being just a tourist resort, in line with the Egyptian state’s plans to achieve comprehensive development in this promising area.
