India’s NMC Healthcare is expected to build an integrated Medical City in Egypt at a cost of $1.6 billion, Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabil stated, according to Al Mal News.
The project will include hospitals, medical schools, medical tourism facilities, and nursing centers, which will be equipped with the most advanced technologies.
A delegation from an Indian company is expected to pay a visit to Cairo within the next few weeks in efforts to discuss the project with all involved factions.
Qabil previously met with chiefs of major Indian firms during President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to New Delhi.
He added that direct communication between businessmen from India and Egypt is vital for economic cooperation in regards to Egyptian-Indian strategic relations.
