INTRO Technology has announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oman Data Park, Invest-Gate reports.

Oman Data Park stands as the premier and largest Data Center and Cloud Service provider in Oman.

The collaboration aims to establish Kemet Data Center in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), marking a significant milestone with an investment volume of $450 mn.

This venture signifies the first strategic partnership between the two entities, focusing on delivering cloud solutions, Internet of Things (IoT) services, and facilitating digital transformation in regional and international markets, with a specific emphasis on Africa and the Middle East.

Spanning over 80,000 sqm, Kemet Data Center will strategically position itself within the SCZone and be developed in two distinct phases. The center will serve as a crucial facility catering to large enterprises in need of cost-effective advanced cloud data capabilities, offering features such as dynamic scalability, enhanced data processing speed, and reduced latency to enhance user experience.

Leveraging Egypt’s strategic location and advanced infrastructure, the data center aims to provide companies with a secure and highly efficient platform for their regional and international operations.

In line with its commitment to sustainability, the center plans to incorporate the latest sustainable technologies, including solar energy, to power its operations, emphasizing a dedication to reducing carbon footprint while delivering cutting-edge digital solutions and services to meet evolving customer needs.

Advansys will house the specialized staff and experts required for the data center’s execution. Operating through its Center of Excellence, Advansys will oversee all aspects of the project, including legal procedures, hardware and equipment importation, and design, streamlining the partnership for a prompt project initiation.

Additionally, Oman Data Park will provide comprehensive commercial services, overseeing the design, providing consultation on construction, and managing operations.
