New Assiut City has witnessed investments worth EGP 4.1 bn so far, while a total of EGP 247 mn has been allocated for the city in FY 2018/19 budget,  Invest-Gate reports.

A total of 11,280 social housing units have been implemented with total investments worth EGP 1.4 bn, while 648 units are still under construction, Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly said in a statement on September 13.

Ahmed Ibrahim Mohamed, Head of New Assiut Development Authority, said that 15 service buildings have been carried out for social housing residents including schools, hospital, nurseries and a fire station, and another 12 service buildings are being established.
