A total of 20,701 applicants have registered in the new Japanese schools in Egypt since registration opened on September 27, Invest-Gate reports.
The selected students will be attending schools in New Minya, New Assiut, New Beni Suef, Borj Al-Arab, Shibin El-Kom, Shorouk City, New Cairo, and Suez, education ministry spokesperson Ahmed Khairy said in a press statement on September 30.
The new schools will teach the ‘Tokkatsu’ educational system adopted from the Japanese model of “educating the whole child.” The new system will not simply focus on growing a child’s intellects, but will also seek to develop all other aspects of the child as his values, attitudes, and social skills.
