Dubai-based hospitality giant Jumeirah, a member of Dubai Holding, is set to open doors to its Abu Dhabi’s new luxurious beachfront resort, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort on November 11, Invest-Gate reports.
The 293-room beachfront property will have eight private-pool villas and 70 suites, along with three infinity pools, and an expansive premium spa built around a Moroccan bath, according to a company statement issued on Tuesday, May 23.
In addition, there will be eight dining outlets, including Levantine-inspired eatery TEAN, Italian restaurant Mare Mare, and The Lounge cafe, the statement adds.
In partnership with Trust Your Water, the hotel will provide solutions to eliminate the need for single-use plastic water bottles, aiming to carry its sustainability values throughout its facilities.
“The resort’s design was heavily influenced by the need to minimize impact to the island’s habitats, including the Saadiyat Beach dune ecosystem, its native flora and fauna and the nesting of the endangered Hawksbill turtles,” General Manager Linda Griffin says.
Proposed measures include complimentary, reusable plastic bottles for all guests who will be encouraged to refill at water stations throughout the hotel, as well as, local filtered water will be served in glass bottles throughout the resort, Griffin states.
The inauguration of the Saadiyat Island Resort, a 10-minute drive from downtown Abu Dhabi and 20 minutes from the international airport, is expected follow that of the Jumeirah Group’s Al Wathba Desert Resort, which is scheduled for a September opening.
