Lafarge Egypt, a member of Holcim Group, announces signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kafr El Sheikh Governorate to support sustainable development goals and Egypt’s vision 2030, Invest-Gate reports.

Lafarge Egypt aims to implement various projects, starting with improving the roads network. Using green materials, the company paved 5,000 sqm of internal roads in Baltim.

The produced paving material is cost-effective and eco-friendly allowing to comply with the rural nature and needs while swiftly paving the internal roads.

The initiative comes in line with Lafarge Egypt’s commitment to develop the communities it operates in, and contributes to sustainable development nationwide.

The initiative also reinforces citizens’ accessibility to utilities, connects the village to the main road and facilitates commuting, especially children going daily to a school in a neighboring village.
