Lafarge Egypt, a member of Holcim Group, launches Shatbna product to reinforce environmental sustainability, Invest-Gate reports.
Commercial and Marketing Director at Lafarge Egypt Ahmed Abdo states, “Shatbna cement is an exclusive product specific for finishing solutions which fit all of our customers’ needs with a 40% lower carbon footprint than conventional cement in Egypt without impact the performance.”
“Also, Lafarge Egypt is proud to introduce Shatbna as the perfect solution for finishing works, which forms about 30% of the local market consumption of cement,” Abdo adds.
It is worth noting that Lafarge Egypt conducts a one-month training program on human rights in the workplace, concerning different topics like health and safety standards, rights related to environmental work conditions, human rights and good governance, women’s rights in the workplace and child labor.
The training sessions host a number of professionals who voluntarily participated in Lafarge Egypt’s event, including Marwa Al-Khodari, partner in ALC Alieldean Weshahi & Partners, Nihal El-Magharbel, member of Housing, Local Administration and Transport Committee in the Egyptian Senate and Nihad Abu al-Qumsan, human rights lawyer, President of the Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights and member of the National Council for Human Rights.
