Lafarge Egypt, a member of Holcim Group, participates in the Euromoney Egypt Conference 2022, which is held in Cairo under the theme “Investing in Resilience and Sustainability”, Invest-Gate reports.

The company pledges to increase the use of alternative fuels in its operations to 50%.

Chief Financial Officer and IT Director of Lafarge Egypt, Ahmed Khalifa, demonstrates the company’s vision for increasing green energy’s contribution to its energy mix during the “Financing Energy Transition” session.

Khalifa says: “We in Lafarge Egypt are promoting and contributing towards transforming into a circular economy; diversifying energy resources from alternative fuels derived from waste, by-products, and biomass.”

The top executive highlights the company’s success in increasing the use of alternative fuels in its energy mix to 20%.
