In line with the Egyptian government’s plan to expand governorates across the country and create better living conditions to all citizens, 195 land plots in New Damietta are offered for residential development.

According to New Damietta City Authority,  around 190 land plots have been sold out of 195 plots on offer. Head of the City’s Authority Alaa Maneea expects the remaining five to be sold within the coming few days, Al Mal reported.

Land plots sizes range between 1000 square meters and 1200 square meters and the authority is expected to sell another land plots following the completion of the current lands due to high turnout, added Maneea.

Furthermore, Dar Misr project in New Damietta, as well, has completed the construction of 109 residential buildings as part of its first phase including some facilities.

On another note, the New Urban Communities Authority has recently decided to provide an additional period of six months to owners of small land plots to complete construction, retrieve land plots, and cancel contracts with landowners if construction has not commenced within the designated period, Supervisor of the Commercial and Real Estate Sectors at the New Urban Communities Authority Tarek El Sebaey previously announced, according to Al Mal.

The six months period duration is given based on certain conditions including the construction, delivery of at least one residential unit applicable for living, and the full payment of the land. The period extension is also to allow the drop of any lawsuits filed against NUCA.
