Egypt’s Madaar Developments has appointed international architecture firm Benoy International to design the Downtown Azha project in Ain Sokhna, Invest-Gate reports.

Downtown Azha is the commercial component of the 1.6-mn-square-meter Azha, which is Madaar’s flagship waterfront development on the Red Sea coast, as highlighted in the developer’s recent press release.

“Currently, we are projecting an investment of EGP 2 bn in this partnership. Downtown Azha is considered a realization of years of planning and team effort that will satisfy every need of our owners and visitors seeking luxury, leisure, and excellent levels of service,” Madaar Developments CEO Gasser Bahgat was quoted as saying.

Downtown Azha will feature hospitality destinations, green areas, with over 1000 outlets with a balanced mix of food and beverage (F&B) and entertainment spots. “The design will be luxurious, exciting, complementing the general features of the project.”

In its statement, Madaar also announced the launch of Azha’s hospitality pillar for its owners and guests, or the luxury five-star “Tanoak” Hotel.

Habiba Al-Shaer, business development and marketing manager at Tanoak Hotel, underlined, “We are happy to be part of Azha’s success story. We depend on all of our hotels on four main elements: design, places, community, and individuals. We have invested heavily to achieve this.”

Sublimely located on the west side of Ain Sokhna, Azha is being developed with investments surpassing EGP 15 bn to boast a wide range of high-end residential and non-residential components. According to Bahgat, more five-star hotels are in the pipeline, but further details would be unveiled in 2021.
