A new phase of private-public partnership (PPP) projects will commence after Eid Al-Fitr, announced Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Amwal Al Ghad reported.

The construction and development sector in Egypt is of tremendous importance to the government with the PPP system aiding in its growth.

Four contracts worth EGP 200 billion were signed earlier in February in the real estate sector under the PPP system.

The first stage of PPP projects took place during Egypt’s Economic Development Conference in March of 2015.
