Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly has handed units’ contracts to 4,416 families in Al Shorouk City’s social housing project, Invest-Gate reports.
Madbouly, according to a press statement, said that the 4,416 finished apartments are divided into 3,360 three-bedroom apartments and 1,056 two-bedroom apartments.
Units’ recipients will pay installments over 20 years, Madbouly added.
He revealed that the ministry has constructed 265,000 units as part of the country’s social housing project, while 335,000 units are currently in different stages of construction.
Head of Al Shorouk City’s Development Authority Sherif El-Sherbini said that they constructed all services and utilities needed such as schools, nurseries, markets, and sports fields, the statement added.
El-Sherbini added that the city authority also planted trees and designed parking areas as well as biking trails.
