Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly and Governor of Cairo Atef Abdelhamid visited the Tal El Akareb project in the Sayeda Zainab neighborhood to follow up on construction of residential units that will replace old ones.
The units are expected to be developed by Wadi El Nile For Contracting & Real Estate Investments that will construct 12 residential buildings containing a total of 815 units, ranging between two-bedroom units and three-bedroom units, according to Madbouly.
The Minister and the Governor also followed up on progress in the Mahrosa project located in Nahda City. The project comes in two phases, aiming to serve those living in informal settlements, and is currently witnessing the construction of 4,700 residential units to replace the old settlements.
The units will be constructed on land plots given by the governorate, in which one land plot measures 33 acres, and the other is 18 acres.
The total project investment costs EGP 600 mn, and will also include the construction of facilities, schools, health care units, and commercial areas.
