Madbouly Follows Up on Progress of “Decent Life” Rural Development Projects

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting today to review the latest progress on the presidential “Decent Life” initiative, which aims to develop Egypt’s rural villages, Invest-Gate reports.

The meeting brought together Presidential Advisor for the initiative Mohamed Farid Hegazy, Housing Minister Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El Din, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization Mokhtar Abdel Latif, representatives from the Armed Forces Engineering Authority and Financial Affairs Authority, Chairman of Dar Al-Handasah Ahmed Abdel Azim, and executives from contracting firms.

Madbouly began by reaffirming the importance of holding these regular meetings to track the status of projects under the first phase of the initiative. He stressed the need to complete this phase and begin preparations for the second at the start of the new fiscal year, so that completed projects can enter service and benefit more citizens.

He also emphasized the importance of delivering and operating completed projects without delay, and ensuring the steady flow of financial resources to executing firms.

Hegazy noted that ongoing site inspections and provincial visits have revealed various obstacles, including delays in government agencies receiving completed projects and addressing outstanding issues. He called for increased supervision on-site to ensure quality and adherence to project timelines.
