Madbouly Holds Meeting to Develop Ataqa Industrial Zone

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting on October 11, 2023, to follow up on industrial lands in Ataqa, Invest-Gate reports.

Attendees included the Minister of Housing Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir, Suez Governor Abdel Majeed Saqr, and the Acting Chairperson of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Nahed Youssef.

At the outset, the Prime Minister stressed the state’s commitment to encouraging investment, maximizing opportunities, overcoming obstacles, and providing infrastructure for industrial lands. He said the meeting aims to follow up on Ataqa’s industrial lands esman Counselor Sameh Al-Khashin, proposals were presented to develop Ataqa’s industrial zone.

These include studying incentives for factories looking to establish industries targeted for localization, in coordination between the Ministry of Finance, the General Authority for Investments and Free Zones, the Egyptian Federation of Investors Associations (EFIA), and the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI).

The Prime Minister directed the quick presentation of industrial land plots by forming a technical committee of the IDA, New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), and the Suez governor. The committee will examine the actual status of industrial lands.

Madbouly also assigned a study on providing housing units in Suez’s new city for factory workers.
